I am MOST interested to hear so many people have had a problem with AMP hiss. I too have had a problem since I installed the 850. With other unrelated equipment the problem seemed often to revolve around grounding. When you install the 850 you place a new cable between the 850 and the old connection cable. I have noticed if I jiggle the cable near the connection input on the 850 the hiss will go away. But it comes back when I restart the equipment.. I wonder if the Yamaha engineers can look at this. It may be a simple grounding wire is needed between the 850 and the AMP. BUT I am no engineer. Just a few thoughts...
