Bob, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. See if this helps: You can do at least two things with your sequencer: a. Play your DKV using a MIDI cable. b. Modify MIDI files and save them. So for example, you could open a MIDI file, play the DKV via the MIDI port, modify the file in memory and play it again, then save the modified file. You could then copy the modified file to a diskette and play it from the diskette drive of the DKV controller. It should sound exactly the same as when you played it from the sequencer. bvaldez98@... wrote: > > howdy everyone > > i'm confused ! ! ! > > i have a dgtiixg disklavier and i just bought a sequencer program (to > edit midi files) > > Q: what is the difference between: 1) connecting my disklavier to the > computer using midi cable and edit midi files and 2) taking my floppy > disk with midis, insert it to the computer and using the sequencer to > edit midis > > again thanks in advance > > bob > > To Post a message to the group, send it to: disklavier@... > > To Post a private message to Todd Muncy, the group's founder and moderator, send it to: > disklavier-owner@... > > To reach our group's web site go to: > http://Yahoogroups.com/group/disklavier > > Todd's family web site was completely rewritten in June 2001 and contains some fun disklavier content and links to midi sites among other things, The url is: > http://MuncyFamily.com > > THINKING OF LEAVING THE GROUP? > If you are thinking of unsubcribing because you are getting too much mail, go the the web site and change your email delivery option instead. That will fix the problem, while maintaining your access to the group. If you insist on leaving us completely send a blank email to: > disklavier-unsubscribe@... > > Know someone who wants to join?
