Re: [disklavier] Ordering the DKC-850 Upgrade

2011-03-11 by James Fry

If you are in the UK, I fear you might struggle - I apologise for my
rant in advance!

Yamaha UK were unhelpful.
Chappell of Bond Street (but now on Wardour Street) are only
interested in selling you the instrument - in their own words 'it is
not worth our while dealing with accessories or upgrades'
Mickleburgh quoted prices above the UK SRP.
Cheltenham Piano Center had nobody to hand that knew (and then
recently their sales 'expert' told a friend that current disklavier
pianos do not have silent operation)

Has anyone in the UK purchased this device successfully? If so, where from?

James
