RE: [disklavier] Mark IV question

2011-06-07 by Glenn R. Smutny

You may even go so far as to completely unplug the power cord from the duplex for 30 seconds or so. On occasion, (twice in 6 ½ years) rebooting didn\u2019t do if for me. But I do leave mine on 24/7. About every three or four weeks it does need to be rebooted as the pedals stop working. A reboot has always solved that issue. If you are new, be sure to get the disklavier app for your phone or ipad. It works the way I think the PRC should have worked from the get go but never did. Id even go so far as saying that it is worth buying an ipod touch so you never have to touch the PRC again.

Best wishes! .

Bruce,

I would suggest that you completely shut down your Mark IV. Wait 30 seconds and then restart your Mark IV and wait until it is fully booted up. ;I find that periodically my Mark IV will simply stop playing back completely (although the cursor moves on The PRC-100 wireless remote) and that when songs are recorded they are recorded with bad tempo, etc. A re-boot as described above has always solved the problem. If a re-boot does not solve your Mark IV problem, then I would suggest a call to Yamaha Service is in order. And no this is not a normal adjustment thing.

Hi group, a newbie here. We bought a MArk IV about 2 years ago and love it, but lately it sounds as if the sync of the music is off. When a song is being played, the tempo seems odd and seems to jump around. Or what I mean is it doesnt really sound like someone is playing the piano- sounds disjointed. I am unsure of how often these things need servicing etc. IS this a normal adjustment thing or am I hearing things?-lol
