It's also worth making sure that you have the latest version of software installed (V4.0)

I find that periodically my Mark IV will simply stop playing back completely (although the cursor moves on The PRC-100 wireless remote) and that when songs are recorded they are recorded with bad tempo, etc. A re-boot as described above has always solved the problem. If a re-boot does not solve your Mark IV problem, then I would suggest a call to Yamaha Service is in order. And no this is not a normal adjustment thing.

>> Hi group, a newbie here. We bought a MArk IV about 2 years ago and love it, but lately it sounds as if the sync of the music is off. When a song is being played, the tempo seems odd and seems to jump around. Or what I mean is it doesnt really sound like someone is playing the piano- sounds disjointed. I am unsure of how often these things need servicing etc. IS this a normal adjustment thing or am I hearing things?-lol
