Initial research turns up this: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/03/23/inside_mac_os_x_10_7_lion_server_apple_replaces_samba_for_windows_networking_services.html It seems it might not be so easy after all... ________________________________ From: Kevin Goroway <kgoroway@...> To: "disklavier@yahoogroups.com" <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2011 8:12 AM Subject: Re: [disklavier] Re: Mac Lion: Disklavier Not Visible On second thought, plenty of users (who don't use DKVBrowser) would probably like to see their "FromToPC" folder on their Lion desktop...so I suppose this isn't a bad place to discuss the solution. Whatever we come up with will probably also let DKVBrowser work as well. ________________________________ From: Kevin Goroway <kgoroway@...> To: "disklavier@yahoogroups.com" <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2011 8:03 AM Subject: Re: [disklavier] Re: Mac Lion: Disklavier Not Visible As discussed on the DKVBrowser yahoo group, Apple seems to have removed "samba" from Lion. Samba is an implementation of the technology that shows shared folders on your network. You can probably install samba yourself in Lion and have everything working again...but it might mount the folder in a different location. Someone will have to give it a try and let me know...Please continue the conversation on the DKVBrowser group, though. -Kevin ________________________________ From: Joan <jheitzeb1@...> To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2011 2:37 AM Subject: [disklavier] Re: Mac Lion: Disklavier Not Visible I have experienced the same thing. joan --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, "gelsycycle" <georgeall@...> wrote: > > I just upgraded to Mac Lion OS, and the Disklavier doesn't appear in the network anymore. Using DKVBrowser, I can access the PC tab and play songs in that folder, but can't transfer songs between the computer and the piano. >
