Re: [disklavier] no damper pedal when recording?

Often during delivery - a rod from the pedal going to the damper assembly get disconnected - you may want to have the store that you purchased the piano from come out and check that rod. Most delivery crews are told to check that before leaving the home - but they might have forgotten in this case. It is a very easy fix - but your pedals will not work until that rod gets put in it's proper place.

Hope that helps

Alan

Subject: [disklavier] no damper pedal when recording?

I just got a Yamaha 4'11" grand with a super Disklavier on it which I am loving. But after recording a piece on it and playing it back, the damper pedal is not being recognized?!? I can see the damper pedal going up and down *a bit* when it plays back but for all intents and purposes, it's as if I had played WITHOUT the damper pedal at all, which was not the case.

Is there something I am missing? I asked the person I bought it from and he said he was not familiar with this problem and suggested I format a new disk and try it again, which I did with the same results?

Thanks,
Jon
