Hi Carol, The site you mentioned does provide some help. I am looking at a device by Apogee called the ONE, that seems to be an interface and has a built-in mic. The mic might be useful if we want to add a violin. This device will work with Pro- Tools but not positive if it is compatible with the Disklavier.

Perhaps you are referring to the app for the iPhone or the iPad that controls a MarkIV Disklavier. There is nothing like that available for the Mac Book Pro. For a Mac you would need a USB midi interface, and a software program like Logic or Qmidi. See if you find any of the information at www.midiplayertools.com helpful.
