Re: [disklavier] I need help with my DC1A

Not to engage in shameful self promotion, but I did write the Handbook of MIDI Player Tools to answer questions I hear so often. There are 2 versions, 2003 and 2011. Both can be found at www.midiplayertools.com and www.carolrpt.com. The information you are seeking is located there. Happy Holidays everyone!!

I have a collection of Pianosoft and floppies with downloaded music and wanted to add to my collection of downloaded music. Piano has not had a recent firmware upgrade either. So, I thought I could just write from my computer to a CD for firmware upgrade and midi music files as I used to with floppies - I guess that's not possible as piano isn't recognizing anything on the CDs. What am I doing wrong? Will I need to connect a laptop by USB to Midi adapter? I'd really like to start using the 'play music' functionality on my disklavier again..... Any help would be much appreciated. You can email me at kmacbeth@....
