Re: [disklavier] Disklavier volume control

2012-02-09 by Michael Jay Jones

I own an older Disklavier so not sure about the Mark II but there is also a calibration program that affects how loud the music will play among other adjustments. Perhaps a local service tech could help with this. You could call Yamaha for a suggested name. While I have good volume control, I have come to realize that a piano that can hold its own in a symphony hall is going to acoustically dominate the average living room!

With regard to purchasing new music, please also consider and learn how to use the more than 3000 free performances through the wonderful efforts of Terry Smythe and others who have scanned both 88 note and reproducing piano rolls. Some of this music is astounding in artistry of performance and most enjoyable.

Regards,

Mike
