Usually, I find that the problem is either from other, more powerful wireless systems in the vicinity, or it is a problem with the CF card interface on the PRC-100, which would mean that the main circuit board in the PRC needs to be replace (Not cheap and quite involved as they don't come with the software pre-installed).
However, this one yesterday had a problem on the motherboard. If the problem is not down to bent pins on the CF card connector (not unusual and the connector can be replaced), it's a hardware fault on the mother board. Replacing the mother board is a very expensive job, but the boards should still be available - which I will have to do in this case.
