I have a dcaIIXG and downloaded some midi songs from the files. Some of the pieces play back fine, but some disks respond with a can't read. The songs on the "bad disks" play OK on my computer, but not on the piano. Any advice. Thanks Bob Sneed

Perhaps you have mixed Midi Format 0 and Midi Format 1 songs on the same disk. Each disk should contain ONLY SMF0 or SMF1 files. The DKV will see the first file on the disk, and then only see files like it on the disk. So if a Midi format 0 is the first file, it won't see Midi format 1 files on the diskette. There is a free convert program on the Pianodisc website, courtesy of Roland, that will convert SMF 1 files to SMF 0. PianoDisc only plays MIDI format 0 files.
