MID2PianoCD

2014-12-11 by buffalobuilt@...

Hey all,

I've been reading as much as I can from all you pros, especially Spencer who wrote the software. I'm trying to convert some of my performances (which are in .mid) to the audio/piano CD to play on my Disklavier Mark III (DKC55CD) through the Analog Audio mini in port. I imported a bunch of my Pianosoft CDs to iTunes and can get them to play on the Disklavier piano, and when I listen to them over normal speakers I hear a bunch of rapid ringing sounds like a bell (which obviously the Disklavier interprets as data).

When I converted a midi file to test out MID2PianoCD in Disklavier setting and in Full Range, I'm only getting what sounds like static from the tv, a fuzzy noise. Am I supposed to get that or should I be hearing the bell noises? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again guys and I hope I can learn a lot here.

MID2PianoCD supports more than one type of player piano system. You need
to select "Yamaha Disklavier" under "Output format" before starting the
conversion.

The default player piano system is "Live Performance Model LX", and its
format does sound like white noise / static. Once you select "Yamaha
Disklavier", the resulting files will sound like any other Yamaha CD.

firt, i did not write mid2PianoCd. Mark Fontana did. hid web site has most of the information you need to use the program and play files on your piano. if you are getting noise out of the speakers you might have he channels swapped.

Thanks Mark. My bad on the misappropriation of your software to Spencer. Great little program. Will give this a shot.

Where can this be downloaded from? I did a couple Google searches but only came up with a few spam sites that insisted I use THEIR downloader?

Thank you! I am anxious to try this out. Steve from AccuratePiano is coming tomorrow to finish installing my new DKC850 and replacing my older 100R, looking forward to taking Yahama piano music to a whole new level!

And a huge kudos to Steve also!
