"Listening/Tech Support" Group for SF Bay area

2015-02-16 by azornes@...

I've spent 20+ years with different Disklavier models in my home... currently a DC6A Pro Mark III/DKC-80 model.

Given that I've learned the hard way how to backup my MID and WAV collection, I am offering to meet up with a small group of folks at my house and review "how to optimize the DK experience."

Topics we will discuss include:

  • Using DKV Browser to organize your MID and WAV collections
  • Using SONOS, iTunes and XBMC with Mark II/Mark III and DKV-850 units
  • Using the same UIs above natively on Mark IVs
  • How to back up your Yamaha, Roland, etc. floppies
  • How to back up your Yamaha, QRS, Pianodisc, etc. CDs
  • How to back up your DK's internal memory
  • How to sync DK TV with your big screen
  • How to distribute your DK audio via a whole house audio system
  • Using iPhones and Android with the Yamaha remote control app
  • Using iPads, Macbooks and PC laptops for music training and coaching ... remote and local
  • Where to find obscure or out-of-print Yamaha PianoSoft titles

The venue would be my house in Hillsborough, CA. I and San Mateo.15 minutes south of San Francisco immediately off US-280 in the hills above SFO, Burlingame

DATE: Sunday March 8

TIME: 1-4pm

LOCATION: send personal email to azornes@yahoo.com and I'll call you to discuss the address, etc.

How about making it a SKYPE event so that we who are 3000 miles away can learn from your experience. Or publish it for purchase.
