What to do with a DKC-55 disklavier.

What to do with a DKC-55 disklavier.

Dear Group
We have a Yamaha baby grand fitted with DKC55. After moving, the playback works from floppy disks but the key stroke movement has stopped. I have the following questions and would be extremely grateful if you could help me resolve the issues.
1. Is there a way to discard the DKC-55 and upgrade it to a E3 model disklavier? Is there someone who could do that? I live in the 22101 area.

2. Another option is to upgrade this antiquated DKC55 with the DKC-850. However, this would be playback only as I've learnt from the instructions. Is there a way to upgrade DKC55 to something else first and then to DKC-850 , so that I can get the full functionality of the DKC-850?

Thank you in advance for your insightful comments.

I believe that is a play only model. Look in your Owners Manual and turn the keys back on. The DKC850 would give you access to Disklavier Radio. Another option is Wireless Bluetooth explained at: www.midiplayertools.com/Connecting.htm

I forgot to mention a possible easier solution. Look under the keyboard on the left side for a little box. Make sure the volume is turned up.
