Anyone else using Yamahamusicsoft to purchase media?

Hello fellow Disklavier fans. The spring sale is on and a friend and I are both having on-going issues trying to use the online store. Anyone else having/had issues with the site/store?

Some of the new titles are pretty intriguing, especially with the sale on, but it's been a bumpy process trying to make selections for purchase.

Feedback appreciated.

does anyone in the group know how to *access* the files (which came on a
Yamaha CD-ROM with the purchase of a DKC-850) so as to be able to open
them and modify various parameters with a midi sequencing program?

not for piracy - just to modify the various tracks for the particular
acoustics of my listening environment

thank you

I’m not aware of any Disklavier CDs that have files on them. If the CD you have says “Pianosoft Plus Audio” on it, it’s an audio CD containing a stream of modulated MIDI data on one channel and accompaniment on the other. There aren’t any programs for extracting the MIDI data directly from such a disc, but it might be possible to record wireline MIDI from the DKC-850 or a DCD-1 during playback.

Thanks for the reply. The good folks at Yamaha were able to help me out so all good for now. There are some great new titles/albums on the sale there so now we have some great new tunes to listen to for our Disklavier :-)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
