my MX80

I recently purchased an MX80 with a DKC5R control unit. Can anyone
tell me how old this piano is? Is it a discontinued model? It took
the dealer a long time to get the manual and the remote is a PPR-
102E, not the PPR-10 as shown in the manual.

Thanks in advance

You can go to www.yamaha.com and follow the logical links through the piano
section to support and eventually get to:

http://www.yamaha.com/pianoserials/index.htm

On this page, you can enter your serial number to find out the date of your
piano.

For further help with documentation, remote controllers, et cetera, call Mark
Wisner at Yamaha Piano Service: (800) 854-1569 between 8:30-5:00 PST. Push 2
at the first menu choice and 2 at the second menu choice.

George,

I could not seem to locate the date information. All I could locate here is
where the piano was manufactured for use.

Thanks,

Danny

I guess I was too hasty and gave you just part of the information. Now that
you know where your piano was manufactured, go to:

http://www.yamaha.com/ycaservice/group005/fgrop005.htm

and click the link for finding the age of your piano. You will find some
tables based on the location of the factory.
