E-seq vs midi

E-seq vs midi

Hi,

Would there be any noticeable audio difference between a file saved
in .mid vs the same file converted to e-seq and saved as .fil?

Thanks to you.

For the Mark II, assuming you play each file on a diskette in the
Disklavier's drive, there is no difference in the sound reproduction.
If you are playing the MIDI file through an external sequencer, you must
set the DKV's MIDI input appropriately for the MIDI sustain pedaling to
match that of the E-SEQ's playing.

Re: [disklavier] E-seq vs midi upload

2002-07-04 by Victor Lim

Hi,
Thanks for the upload of the midi zip file of the piano competition
pieces. Can someone who has converted the files to e-seq upload them to
the group archive for us with older Disklaviers to use with minimal
conversion hassle?
I always seem to have problems onverting midi to e-seq and getting them to
play on my Mx-100.
Thanks in advance!
Victor
