[disklavier] Zip files

2000-01-10 by Todd Muncy

I received an understandable complaint from one of our Mac owning members. He has requested, and I agree, that we should only post plain zip files ending in a zip suffix. Do not post self extracting zips ending in exe for two good reasons. Mac users may not be able to run them (although you might be able to open them from within the zip program). They also take up more room in the vault than necessary. When I get a chance, I will download McKenzie.exe, rezip it, and put it in the jazz piano folder.
If you have uploaded any other exe files, please do the same thing. It would also make the vault less confusing and more organized if we had only categories folders and no files in the root directory. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to move files within the vault directly. If you can't find an appropriate folder, just create a new folder and put it there. Whenever a new file is put into a folder, the folders date is changed to match the date of the newest file. This makes it easy to scan for new stuff. As always, you should post an FYI message to this board whenever you upload something. Thanks.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
