I'm readying myself to get a Disklavier DC7 soon. I've never used music software before. I'm wondering what I should look for in a computer. Any particular chip that is more suitable than the others? Anything at all that I should look for when shopping? Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, If the computer you are considering has a serial port, you are probably all set. Many models of Disklavier incorporate a "Personal Computer Interface" (labeled "TO HOST") to which you can cable to your computer's serial port. A free driver (called CBX) downloaded from Yamaha's Web site allows your computer to communicate with the Disklavier. For more information see http://www.yamaha.co.uk/xg/html/software/s_serial.htm yamahamale wrote: > I'm readying myself to get a Disklavier DC7 soon. I've never used > music software before.
