Again, a generic reply about updating the software
on your Disklavier. There are some very basic issues.
1) Correct
version. Make sure the software you download is the correct
version for your Disklavier. If your MarkIII already has a built-in CD
player, then go to www.yamaha.com and
download the correct version for your model.
For updating the software for the DCD1, there are
only 2 choices. CTRLv4 is for the DKC55 control unit only. Everyone
else uses CTRLv3.
2) Clean floppy
disk. This means a floppy disk with NOTHING else on
it!! Just format it for your computer. It also means that when you expand
the zipped software, that you DO NOT put the readme file on the update
disk!
