Hi. I'm relatively new to the Disklavier File Swapper's
group. I joined a few months ago as a way of getting better
acquainted with Disklaviers prior to making my first Disklavier
purchase.
I've been wanting a Disklavier for many years and agonized about
having to buy a used Disklavier, but this was all my budget would
allow (famous last words). I tracked eBay for over two years and
even contemplated buying a gray market Disklavier. Although I would
have been comfortable with any purchase decision I made, in the end
I brought a new MX1Z upright. My final decision was influenced to
some extent by listening to the many comments circulated here.
I'm completely delighted with the MX1Z and I'm very happy to
have a new piano in my home. That said, I can't wait till the
day comes when I take delivery of a Disklavier grand. I'll start
saving after Christmas!
I must say, this user group has been an invaluable resource.
It's great having access to the wealth of information. A big
thanks to the many wonderful and knowledgeable people who take the
time to offer advice and guidance. It's likely tedious at times
answering repeat questions every time a newcomer posts. For what it
worth, it's very comforting to know there are others around and
that I'm not going it alone.
Special thanks to Todd Muncy for the existence of this group and
Season's Greetings to all.
