Disklavier

For those of you who don't frequent the yamaha musicsoft site,  they 
are offering a free download of some Christmas music.  Here are the 
pieces that are included.

Includes:
Joy to the World
Waltz of the Flowers
We Three Kings of Orient Are
Jingle Bells

This is also interesting. The new version of the Musicsoft downloader 
puts the music on HD floppies (1.44Mb) instead of DD (720K).

I wonder if this means older Disklaviers that only use DD disks are 
not being supported by Musicsoft anymore?

Fortunately not - yet again Yamaha have thought about older customers :)
If you go to the MusicSoft downloader page there is footnote that says
"For Disklavier models made before 1996, please install Version 3.0."
and they provide a link to it. Presumably the v3.0 software writes to 720k
disks.

Thankyou for the link to the Christmas songs - I hadn't been to the site
for a while and would have missed them otherwise!
