Help with a PSX file...

I am wanting to covert a PSX file to a midi. Can this be done?

Thanks,

Rodney

Rodney,

Are you referring to Playstation audio? I do not know how to convert
PSX to MIDI, but go here for files already converted:
http://www.geocities.com/mysterykid_13/playstation2.html and here:
http://lillith.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/~kashima/games/bmconv/index-e.html
for a hardware/software conversion/solution.

In the likelihood you really want Protracker's MOD audio format, go
here: http://thorkildsen.no/faqsys/cates/formats.html for a
description. The MOD format, as I understand it, is really MIDI on
steroids or the vestigal embers of the Amiga, depending on how you
look at it. To simply play MOD files, you should be able to use
WinAmp. There was also a site I found by searching 'Protracker Mod'
that came back with MOD files and a supercharged player that I,
unfortunately, did not bookmark.

Of course, I am just guessing and may be way off. Perhaps you can
fill us in with a few missing details. I won't even address the C/R
issue, assuming this is all for your own personal use.

Also, my question to you is: Do you really think the Playstation
material is piano/Disklavier material or do you simply want to listen
to the music independent of the PS? Again, maybe I'm way off.

Good luck,

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
