Disklavier

To date, a shortcoming of my batches of player piano roll scans 
in midi format, has been the absence of a sortable listing by 
title, composer, artist.     Through the skill and kindness of 
Spencer Chase, such a listing is now provided on my web site.  
It is in Microsoft Excel format and may be downloaded by 
clicking on:

http://members.shaw.ca/smythe/batch09.htm

Scroll down to the headings for each sub-batch and click on the 
listing links.     There are 2 files - one for the Ampico and 
Duo-Art rolls, and the other for the 88n rolls.    

As time permits over the next few weeks, I will gradually add 
the same kind of listings for each of the previous batches.   
Eventually, I will have a consolidated listing to post.

Terry - I want to take a moment to thank you for your
troubles.  What you call a shortcoming is merely a
slight inconvenience.  I can't speak for everybody,
but as for myself, I wish to thank you publicly for
your obvious labor of love.  I have spent many hours
working in the office with your midi files playing in
the background as well as listening to them on my
disklavier at home.  As I was growing up we had
relatives with a player piano in their home and
everytime we went to visit I would hit it upon arrival
listening to one roll after another for hours on end. 
I knew that I would someday own one of these fine
instruments for my own.  Well, by the time I got done
growing up the old roll pianos were mostly gone and
technology had taken over.  The only thing missing was
the old time piano roll sound from my youth.  You have
single handedly returned that sound to my life and I
am thankful.  It brings back fond memories everytine I
listen.  Thanks again for all you do.

Terry - I must agree with Larry that there is no such
thing as a shortcoming where your efforts are
concerned.  It is a wonderful gift that you have given
us all!  Thank you so much for all those hours of
listening to my favorite music!

Thank you for your kind words, very much appreciated.   Always 
nice to receive positive feedback.    Glad you like the music as 
much as I.    And Thank you for your delightful website which I 
have just "discovered", and added it to my own links pages.

Midi seems to be a never ending learning process, and what you 
have on your site is most interesting and helpful.
