P-e-C zip files

Good afternoon, everyone.
A few people reported having trouble unzipping the .zip archives from the Piano-e-Competition website over the weekend. I know that problems were mentioned with the E-SEQ archives, I am not sure whether there were problems with the XP or Enhanced archives.
A few people responded to say that they had no trouble using various unzipping utilities under other Windows operating systems.
Although I normally use a Macintosh, I booted my Windows system today using Windows XP professional. I successfully downloaded one example of each .zip type. Each time I ended up with a folder on my desktop that had a zipper in the middle of its icon. In all three cases I could open this folder by clicking on it. Inside was another folder and inside that folder were the song files and directory file(s).
I don't know why anyone has had trouble using Windows XP. However, a Windows guru friend has suggested to me that perhaps some people have an antivirus setting on their computer that does not recognized the file types contained in these archives. If so, perhaps that is the reason why they appear to be empty.
Since I am not a Windows person, I regret that I cannot give a definitive explanation for this problem, but I don't think that the problem is with the archives. Of course, I am prepared to be corrected on this point.
Regards,
