Disklavier

You can get the cable to link a PC (sub-D 9 pin serial) to a current Disklavier "Host" port by calling 800-854-1569 then push "2" and then "1" at the menu choices.  Ask for item "CCIBM".   Tell 'em Mark sent ya. You can down load the required driver at;

Mark,

Can you please tell me, what does this HOST connection buy you?  What 
would I be able to do on my PC if I get this cable and hook a DC7Pro 
up to a laptop?

Also, I am a software engineer.  Is there a sufficient interface and 
would I have access to neccessary information to write my own XP 
editor?  In other words, I'd like to write a program for editing XP 
performance data graphically.
