Batch 10 of Roll Scan Midi Files Uploaded

2004-04-02 by Terry Smythe

Just a brief note to let everybody know that within my project
to preserve the content of turn-of-the-century player piano
music rolls, I've just uploaded batch 10 of my piano roll scans
in midi type 1 format. There are 102 titles in this batch,
now summing to 1,527 titles to date, many more to come.

Special thanks to Mark Fontana, Ray Starck, Martin Hurney and
Dick Partos for rolls they either contributed or loaned for this
preservation project. As before, these files are made
available for personal enjoyment and may not be used for
commercial purposes.

They may be accessed by clicking on:

This page displays a listing of the rolls in alphabetical title
sequence. Off the same page, you may also download a
spreadsheet listing for those inclined to sort on title,
composer and/or artist sequence. Many thanks to Spencer Chase
for his utilities to make possible these spreadsheets without
retyping everything.

Please note these files are in midi type 1 format. Conversion
to midi type 0 format will have the effect of deleting
identifying data from within tracks 2 to 4. That data is
duplicated within the companion spreadsheet.

All files within this batch10 are enclosed within a ZIP file
which must be downloaded, opened with WinZip or equivalent, and
the midi files within saved to a directory of choice on your
computer.

Enjoy!

Regards,

Terry Smythe

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
