Re: OOPS! - Batch 10 of Roll Scan Midi Files

Re: OOPS! - Batch 10 of Roll Scan Midi Files

2004-04-03 by Terry Smythe

OOPS! Roger Dalziel just brought to my attention that 3 of
the midi files I've just uploaded to my web site, were
incorrectly assigned to "reed organ".

4142S, A Gay Old Time Medley
2040S, Liberty Bell March
2208S, To the Victor March

These 3 files emerged from a scan of very old reed organ rolls.
The conversion software I have properly assigned the reed organ
voice. Unfortunately, they are aimed at pianos. I've made
a fix and the 3 files have been fixed within the large ZIP file,
and also within a tiny ZIP file containing only the 3 corrected
files, which may be downloaded by clicking on:

Hope this didn't cause too much heartburn when first listening
to these 3 files. Quite unexpected to hear the sound of a
really old reed organ, when you're expecting a gorgeous acoustic
piano.

Regards,

Terry
