Converting .fil back to .mid

Converting .fil back to .mid

2004-07-01 by wcom_4_ever

It's been awhile since I've visited and I did a search but was unable
to find an answer. Is there a utility that will convert *.fil files
back to *.mid files? I cannot play the .fil on my PC and would like
to convert some to midi's. I have the Giebler utilities but don't
recall if they can do that or if they will even run under Windows XP.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have a Mark IIXG or later Disklavier, you can use the song covert function in the Disklavier itself. Of course, if you want to convert Yamaha-published songs, the copy-protection will prevent you from doing this.

Download the DKVUtils from this site. ESEQ2MID will convert *.fil to *.mid.

Hi

You need a program called Yamplayer not only will it play all of
your .fil files on your PC but it will also convert them to midi.
The conversion can be done one file at a time or it will convert all
of the files on your HDD in one go. It will either play the
files, .fil or .mid on the sound card or send midi data out to your
DKV.

Send me an email direct to magic_midi@... note the
underscore between magic and midi.
I will send you the program. It has been much updated since I sent
it to Carol.
