Good afternoon, everyone. My brother-in-law has a DSR1 for sale. It has had little use (and was not used with a Disklavier). If you are interested please send an email to: NDMAF@... Please do not respond to this list. I do not know the price. For those unfamiliar with the DSR1: It looks like a Mark IIXG control unit, has a remote, and it attaches to the original control unit via MIDI cables (and includes an extra set of MIDI ports for connecting to another device). The DSR1 is the only upgrade option providing: --a high density floppy disk drive --built-in XG tone generator --internal memory --support for Type 0 and Type 1 Standard MIDI files that is available for Disklaviers which predate the Mark IIXG. Regards, PianoBench

I,m a tight git:;:!:;!:;! Have a look at message 2492 and, perhaps slightly more relevent, message 2924 - there is a wealth of information in the archives on floppy drives (you might be able to find more there than I could in the two minutes I spent searching) Take the old drive out and get the model number and search google for information - you can probably find a replacement or compatible drive from many retailers on the internet. Good luck! James

Does anyone have DCD1 for sale? Dan

MessageDan asked, >>Does anyone have DCD1 for sale? The subject said DSR1, but the body of the message said DCD1. If you were looking for a DCD1 (to upgrade a Mark II Disklavier to have PianoSmart features), you can buy a new one for \ufffd195 (about $350 US dollars) here: http://www.arthurlord.co.uk/Accessories.asp That price is about 1/4 of the retail price here in the US (about $1295). I've also seen DCD1 units go on ebay occasionally. There's one on ebay now (but it looks a bit banged up) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3745896563 and back in May, Gary Connoley (gary.connoley@...) was selling one. Don't know if he still has it for sale. Good luck. Ken
