Good morning, everyone.
In order to track down the issue, it would be helpful to know:
(1) whether you have put a commercial audio CD into the DCD1
(2) whether you have put a companion floppy disk (which was
published
specifically to coordinate with this particular audio CD) into the
DSR1.
In other words, for Smart PianoSoft to work, you must have both a
CD and a
floppy that are intended to work together.

PianoBench
Yes all the discs are correct. I found out I had not enabled the
DCD1 mode on the DSR1. Nevertheless the discs do not display on the
DSR1 as described in the DCD1 manual but work fine. Thank you all for
your help and Carol your website is great!

Yes I do have two MIDI cables and the unit already had PS on it.In
the manual with the DCD1 it says the disc will display "SPS Type
Disk" and then will show "PS@GM". My disc just shows SMF disc. It
also does not show "Registering" It seems like the floppy isn't
being recognized as a Smart disc. Thanks--- In
Were there not 2 disks that came with your DCD1+PS?
You need to update the software on the DSR-1 as well as
install some software on the DCD1 (but the +PS may mean
it came to you already updated). Are you using 2 MIDI
cables? The DCD1 talks to the the DSR-1 via MIDI cable
in and out.

Subject: [disklavier] Piano Smart help
I upgraded my MarkII with a DSR1 and DCD1PS. I
updated the DSR1 with
the update disc included with the DCD1. I purchased
my first Smart disc
and when I put it in the DSR1 it does not read it as
a Smart disc as
detailed in the DCD1 manual. Thus it does not
synchronize with the CD.
Any thoughts? Thank you.
