I have the DC3M4t and was wondering if there was a way to record the midi playback and layer a voice track through the microphone. i noticed that the disklavier has the microphone in port that pushes voice over the speakers underneath but is there a way to record that? has anyone seen that?

I have the same Mark IV that you have. The I/O center beneath the Mark IV has stereo audio outputs. I am assuming that these audio outs carry the same output as the speakers do. In other words, both the microphone input and the ensemble voices should be mixed prior to the audio outs. By hooking up a DAT recorder to the audio outs, you should be able to record voice over midi playback. You will, of course want to select the Quiet Mode so that you are recording the sampled digital grand piano rather than the acoustic grand piano. Tom abus500 wrote:
