Lookking for Enya music midi files

2006-04-06 by Claude Renaud

Hi all,

          I'm a real Enya's fan.
It's an artists, a singer more precisely, for those who don't know, who plays new age music.
                                          Her music is very relaxing.
In her music there is sometimes piano, or any kind of keyboard
instrument based.
I would like to know if I could find some midi files I could play on
my DU1A.
If someone knows Enya's music, or know where I could find it on midi,
it would be very nice to tell me where to find it too...

Claude,
I have a few (15-20) that featured the piano or pseudo-piano parts
that I've culled from the many on the internet. They are multi-timbral
but I've edited them for Disklavier velocities and XG voices. If you
have the ability to play midi from PC w/accompaniment they're not too
bad. I'll be glad to attach them to an email or post them on this group.

Thank you Fred.

I currently write directly on the yahoo's interface because I'm
in "no mail", but I just read your message about Enya's music and I
would like to thank you a million Fred for posting your Enya's
collection to the group.
I'm on the Yamaha DUG list, if you want to continue the discussion
there ...

My pleasure Claude. I too like Enya. So much of her work is lovely but
doesn't work on the piano. I hope you see this, I withdrew from DUG,
too much email.
Regards,
Fred

Ok I understand, myself I'm about to unsubscribe from many lists
because I already receive thousands e-mail per weeks.

But whenever I decided to come back to the disklavier mailing list
because of the many interesting topics we also discuss there.

Fred for you and all Enya fans...
I found something fantastic on the Official Enya's forum.

In fact I asked where to find midi file on the forum but two
moderators answer me that midi files are considered illegal and so
they did not want to give me some info about this matter.

But on the discography's part of the site I found this :

Piano Rolls and Disklavier Discs
http://discography.enya.com/books/04.asp

Does someone know them or have them or know where to find them ?
I would be very very very interested in them to play this music on my
DU1A DKV !!!

Lookking for Enya music midi files

2006-04-14 by Claude Renaud

Hi All,

Recently I asked some information about where to find Enya's music
which can be playable on disklavier pianos.
Some ofyou answered me.
But I kept on looking for some way to obtain it and found the Official
Enya's forum.

For those interested, especially Enya's fans, here is the topic I
created http://unity.enya.com/index.php?showtopic=13974&st=0&gopid=172923&#entry172923

Here I found some information concerning some albums on the
discography part of the site and a discographer told me that the
following sites www.The-Sheet-Music-Store.com, or in a shorter form
www.music44.com, sold the two disks mentionned on the forum, thus, "A
day without Rain" and "Shepherd Moon".
After having tried several days to access those sites without success, I
took a look at the Yamaha MusicSoft website and there had a partial
response to my initial query ...
Effectively, I only see one title there.
So, I'm wondering :

1. Why a "foreign" site sends more disklavier titles of an artists than
the dedicated Yamaha MusicSoft site ?

2. IS the Yamaha MusicSoft site a reliable one ?
Globally speaking is their catalog interesting and quite complete ?
Apparently it does not contain an exhaustive list of available
disklavier titles.
When A title found somewhere else is missing on their catalogue, is it
possible to keep in touch with someone in order to have more
information about titles we want to buy ?
In fact, I really want to order those disks and as I can
not access the alternate sites it would be very interesting for me to
order them via the Yamaha MusicSoft one...
