How can i check the software version on the Disklevier Mark IV? When I look at the handheld system I see about 10 different software versions of different companies. Thanks,

Yes, I agree it is confusing. If you look under system info on your handheld pda device, you do get different versions and companies. I would say that you don't have the latest software unless you just got your Mark IV disklavier piano very recently. One thing you can do is select the "Menu" icon in lower left hand corner and a page comes up with about 9 other icons, select the icon called "Interface Updater" and look for a tab "curr" and see if it finds a file and has a version for 3 items. The versions listed in my Interface Updater files are: Interface V 1.2 Service Center V 1.06 PRC -100 Menu V1.03 I have upgrade V 1.2 that I just received and installed on Mark IV Disklavier. I also updated my tablet and pda controller and service center. Yamaha mailed me this update which consisted of a CD, and a floppy disk, as well as, a nice manual with instructions on how to do the update and detailed steps in using some of the new features in the upgrade. Some of the features that are now included are: Add all songs on album to a playlist. (previous version required song by song addition to a playlist) Internal metronome vocal harmony function overdub record in vocal harmony mode temporarily change voice of a track edit tracks repeat part of a song format floppy disk compatibility with foot controller timer function backup and restore from/to USB HDD others .... My upgrade worked fine and had no problems ... tested most of the new features and seem to work fine. Really wish they had added a search routine to find a particular song. Oh well, maybe next time. Glad that they have the backup capability and need to get a USB hard drive to test this one out. The timer function worked, be sure to select "timer playback" at top to get it to work ... they left that out of the steps. You can select day and time for your piano to play an album. I guess you have to set up a playlist if you want to just play one song. -Joan --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, "eyalc2000" <eyal@...> wrote:
