Jewish Holiday Music

2007-12-05 by ltmoore915

We're having a holiday party with several Christian and Jewish
friends. The Christian music has been no problem but no luck on
Jewish music. Any suggestions. Obviously free is a very good price

Greetings ltmoore915,

I wanted to add a collection to my "Christmas Carillon" program to play music for Chanukah but could find only one some from the piano rolls I have scanned. All I have is two different versions of Hatikva. One is an Ampico roll arranged and played by Irving Berlin and the other is a Duo-Art roll played by Jacob Bellin. You are welcome to both of them. Write to me at spencer@... if you want me to e-mail the MIDI files.

Hello ltmoore915,

I found the following sites with Jewish Chanukah midis 'for free':

http://www.jr.co.il/music/midi/jewish.htm 12 Chanukah midis

http://www.ics.uci.edu/~dan/midi/jewish/ 5 Chanukah midis

http://www.greatjewishmusic.com/Midifiles/Hanukka/Hanukka_Midifiles.htm 9
Chanukah midis

http://www.jmwc.org/jmwc_midi.html links to multiple Jewish midi
collections

Google search on keywords Jewish midi has plenty of hits over and above
these.

Enjoy :)

ps. Hatikva is the Jewish national anthem... not exactly Chanukah music..
but certain to get a "standing ovation" ;-)
