Hurray, as the owner of a Mark II XG, exactly what I was hoping for!

Thanks Robert for bringing this to our attention.

[disklavier] Disklavier Control Unit Upgrade for Mark IIXG and Mark III Owners

Dear Mk II and MK III owners. News of the new control unit was so
exciting, I immediately jumped online to search for more info. Not
surprisingly, google returned scant information. However, searching
Google Japan returned some good information. Thanks to the
translation feature Google provides, I was able to convert the
Japanese text into something readable in English. While not a perfect
translation, you'll get the gist of what this product provides. Also,
note that this is selling in Japan for 92,400 yen, which converts to
approx $1,000 USD.

Hope this is useful.

Re: [disklavier] Disklavier Control Unit Upgrade for Mark IIXG and Mark III Owners

My information is that the upgrade control box is the DKC850. It upgrades older Disklaviers to the capabilities of the E3, which is more than a MarkIII but not a MarkIV. Although the new control box will work with all older Disklaviers, internet radio will only be available for MarkIIXG and MarkIII models due to the way it connects to the piano. MX100A/B and MarkII Disklaviers will not be able to use the internet radio feature. It will retail for $1995.

Re: [disklavier] Disklavier Control Unit Upgrade for Mark IIXG and Mark III Owners

Hi all,

So is the DKC-850 to be used with, for example, my current MkII DKC-500RXG <or> does it replace it?

I know that it did a good job, but the translation is a bit confusing...

Thanks,

Danny

Danny,

The answer is yes, the DKC-850 would replace the DKC-500 head-unit you
have on your Disklavier.
