Greetings and Question about M4 version 4.0 update

Greetings and Question about M4 version 4.0 update

2010-05-15 by rob3210@ymail.com

Hello,

first of all I wanted to say Thank You for hosting this Yahoo! Group for Disklavier Piano Owners. I purchased a Mark IV last year and think it has been my best investment ever as far as the enjoyment level!
I read that there is an Apple Iphone applicaiton.
My piano is connected through a LAN to the Internet and I use the Disklavier Radio features. I clicked on:
Internet then
Network Update and get this message
"New Firmware Available
To update your Disklavier to the
latest version, please contact your
Yamaha dealer and ask for the
latest update pack."

I called and left a message, but it is after hours/weekend. By chance, did anyone else get this message? I was curious if there was a disk or if a technician is required to come for the upgrade.

Thank You for reading this,

Rob

Have you joined the DKVBrowser yahoo forum yet? Check it out at
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/dkvbrowser/

Also I did a blog about the new update system software, you should be able to download from your piano PRC and also the iphone app at:

http://grannyjoans.blogspot.com/2010/03/controlling-my-mark-iv-disklavier-from.html

If you check this forum, I believe someone outlined the steps to update the piano via the PRC (remote that came with the piano) at:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/disklavier/message/8328

Hope these help.
Joan

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
