Disklavier Radio content Question

Does the Disklavier radio library contain any of the CD content, eg., any PianoSoft Plus audio disks, or is the orchestration on any "more than piano" songs just the XG synth? Thanks,, Dave

Hello Dave, I often purchase the songs from the radio/store (even though the price annoys me, particularly for bad sounding songs!) but they are only midis. There is no real reason Yamaha could not send PianoSoft Plus Audio for their store because they actually stream PCM data in some from for the radio channels if you noticed the ad breaks / human voice recording promoting things. It would be great if they could do it in the future, as if they stream a 40meg wave (pianosoft with audio) that's nothing these days as anyone can download that pretty fast. Even with the space limits, most people would still have a few gig spare which is still plenty of room. Philip ________________________________

Streaming the real audio (PCM), while possible, probably brings all sorts of issues having to do with rights, permissions, royalties, payment, etc... I'm guessing they'll never do it, or will charge a whole lot more if they do. ________________________________
