Screwed up PRC100 connection to Disklavier

Screwed up PRC100 connection to Disklavier

2010-10-10 by goofyboy

I was attempting to connect my Disklavier to my home network and managed to screw up my Mark IV connection to my PRC-100, but it now says PRC-100 not connected with Disklavier. When I hit the Disklavier connect bubble,
It shows "wireless LAN-temp" "initializing" for about 40 secs and then goes back the the PRC-100 not connected with Disklavier screen.

I was in the Network settings and so probably inadvertently altered settings there.

Help appreciated,
Thanks

try this

connect to the PRC-100 menu by tapping on the menu icon on the bottom left of
the screen.

tap on Piano Assign when in the PRC-100 menu

follow instructions (there are about 4 or fives steps) and make sure that at the
end of the process you see -

stay close to your piano when assigning your remote to your disklavier.

For your remote to stay connected - you will need to see a "DKVxxxxxx" rather
than "wireless LAN-temp" in what you call the 'Disklavier connect bubble'.

Hope that helps.

If Alan's tip doesn't work, you could also try changing the wireless channel (see attachment). It is also worth checking if there are any other powerful WiFi systems near the piano, as these could cause interference (even AWACs share the same frequency band). If your WiFi cards are the YAMAHA-labelled version, it may also be worth trying the replacement AMBICOM version, which seems to be a bit more powerful.
