New battery in PRC-100

New battery in PRC-100

2011-12-08 by Gregg Dickerson

Hello all,

Just replaced the battery in the disklavier remote (bought it from Brilliant online, notes said it was the battery everyone is using to replace the one in the remote). The remote indicates it is charging, but then later the charging indicator is flashing and the unit dies as soon as it is removed from the cradle. What is going on and what do I need to do about it?

Thanks,
Gregg

If you are using the cradle, try plugging the power supply directly into the connector at the bottom of the PRC100. Sometimes the connection between the cradle and the remote can be a bit intermittent. If that doesn't work, I suspect that the new battery is faulty.
