Yamaha RemoteLive

2012-08-23 by Bill Brandom

Yamaha is actively soliciting existing owners of E3 and Mark IV Disklaviers WHO LIVE IN THE US* to sign up as beta-testers for its new RemoteLive service! RemoteLive enables you to enjoy a streamed (broadcast) musical performance that actually plays the keys and pedals on YOUR Disklavier! An E3/Mark IV Disklavier, high speed internet and a computer (PC or Mac) are required.

The next LIVE broadcasts will be from the Monterey Jazz Festival (9/21~23) and an exclusive performance by multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan (9/29)! However, between now and then there's a wealth of PREVIOUSLY RECORDED performances for you to enjoy each and every week!

So don't wait. Sign up now! To learn more, type 4wrd.it/remotelive into your browser and you'll be automatically re-directed. Click on the "Sign Up For RemoteLive" link (on the bottom right portion of the page next to the Twitter & Facebook icons) and fill out the brief form. Please enter "User's Group" as your COMPANY NAME. For a quick summary of RemoteLive, visit the "About"pages and to see how easy it is to get set-up, please visit the "Set Up" page.

On a personal note, for more than 30 years I enjoyed working for Yamaha and was fortunate enough to be able to have a Disklavier in my home. I’ve enjoyed the many types of software Yamaha has created for my piano as well as the creation of the DisklavierRadio service. I have had the pleasure of working with Yamaha for over a year on this RemoteLive project. Now that I am retired, I am able to spend much more time with my Disklavier Mark IV. Being able to experience a RemoteLive concert in my home, with my Disklavier in the center of the music, continues to be an unbelievable experience for me, my family and visiting guests. If you have a Mark IV or an E3 Disklavier, give RemoteLive a try. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.

1: Do you know if the DKC 850 is included in the Beta test?
2: Will the remote process be available for the DKC-85?

Thanks

Bill replied in the email user group that it is not. Only the E3 and Mark IV. Not sure why....
