CF Card Reader is Damaged and Cant connect Card ...

One of our lovely children decided to pull the CF Card out of our Disklavier and then try and jam it back in ... Looks like the pins inside maybe bent to hell best case ... But either way it is no longer reading the card ... A few questions before I take the thing apart and try and fix it ... 1) Can i Buy a card reader and plug it into the USB post and connect the CF Card that way?  2) Can i Buy a PC-->CF Card adaptor and put it in the PC Card Slot?  or 3) IS there a way to update the Software to 4.0 and connect my Disklavier through Network and use Iphone/Ipad?  

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Natt,

I am sorry to hear about your problem. You can't blame your child for trying to get it back in!

Yes, you can buy a PC-CF card adapter, put your CF card in it and then put it into the Disklavier I/O center. It will work. Several years ago these adapters were not too hard to find. If you can't find one, give Yamaha Piano Service a call (800-854-1569). They may have one laying around somewhere that they could send you.

Yes, you an control your Disklavier with an iPhone and iPad but it does not provide you with all of the Mark IV functions. You want to be able to use your PRC100 Remote with your Mark IV.
