Purchasing DKC-850 in US

I am new to this forum and a new owner of a used 2003 DC1A Mark III. I would like to upgrade to the KDC-850 but the user interface seems a bit out dated and not very user friendly (for example, recording a song and editing the name of the song). Do you guys know if 
1. Yamaha is planning on updating this unit in the near future so I don't invest in a box now that will be replaced soon and 
2. What is the best deal out there for it? I've heard wholesale is around $800 and retail I got pricing from $1,400 to $2,100.

Good morning, everyone.

The DKC-850 is essentially the same control unit found on E3 Disklaviers. So, you can be confident that this control unit represents the latest unit that Yamaha makes.

The suggested retail price is $1,499 (or very close to that amount). That price does not include any charges that a dealer might include for installation. However, installation is remarkably simple and does not require a technician.
