Hi Dana, > Rick Wakeman talks about the impact the instrument made, and > he's featured in a performance at last year's MoogFest in NYC. > Ditto for Keith Emerson, who doesn't speak, but plays his > massive modular at MoogFest. We love Rick over here, he is quite a frequent TV personality in England, not for his music but for his comedy (like to see more music though!). > I also got a copy of the CD soundtrack, which is not nearly as > interesting to me, and mostly features various modern artists > (most of whom I'd never heard of) noodling away at minimoogs, > via hip-hoppy sampled beats. Yawn. I agree, "Time for bed Zebedee, said Florence...Boing!" (Some research may be required) :-) > It's all redeemed (in my eyes) with a wonderful cover of "Baroque > Hoedown" by THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS. I just heard this today, been looking for a while, I loved it...all those strange sounds and tones that I haven't heard before. I immediatley thought of 'Lovesick Martian' and had to play it. I have a full 22 space cabinet now, but can't get anywhere near the sounds that you create (no Q150 yet, it is next though). Nevemind...it's still early days and I'll get there in the end. Enjoy what's left of the weekend, Clive.
