If you want to save yourself some assembly, I would recommend the MegaOhm LFO Two: http://www.megaohmaudio.com/LFO.html

Two LFO circuits in a 1U package, continuously variable waveshape on the first LFO, and a neat reset feature that's good for tempo-syncing.
