Howdy, I at least, know that some of the ICs in the modules are analog, but in other cses, there are digital. That's pretty much a given in the variety and complexity of these products. By the way, This giant Imac I bought, forces me to go back and edit text because the mini keyboard it came with misses/adds a lot of strokes. The mouse also will move smoothly, then randomly jump to some far off spot of the screen. Can anyone recommend a keyboard/mouse for an Imac that is more like a trditional keyboaerd? I'm sure they're common, I'm still fighting computer illiteracy. Thanx. rig ________________________________ From: Steve Bowd <stevebowd@yahoo.ca> To: "dotcomformat@yahoogroups.com" <dotcomformat@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, October 14, 2011 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [dotcomformat] Re: Jean-Jacques Perrey Samplecorder Module Um... all the Dotcom modules have digital ICs? This just can't be true. Maybe you're under the mistaken impression that all ICs are inherently digital? I'm sure there are some digital ICs in modules like sequencers and quantizers, but I'll bet the vast majority of ICs used in Synthesizers.com modules are analog. LOTS of op amps. SACRILAGE!!!!! Oh, endorsed my Mr. Perrey? Never mind. How much? > Rig > Hi Rig, Don't forget that all the Dotcom modules have digital IC's. Ironic, ain't it? Even JJP uses digital editing now, for his complicated loops. It's a heck of a lot easier, than hand-splicing tape the classic way. It's cool to think about, but pretty much NO one wants to do THAT, anymore. I tried it the old way, and can attest to that... Cheers, -dc
