Can you >elaborate a bit on how you did the conversion? I am interested to know >what pots, switches, jacks, etc. that you used (or reused). >> I ordered DPDT switches and jacks through Mouser. I got the push button switch from Roger Arrick. I got the LED holders from Radio Shack. Also, it >looks like you have a mix of Moog knobs and 2 non-Moog knobs (at the >top); why is that?>> Good eye! That's because I used the pots off the Moogerfooger, but the design of the top two pots were physically too wide and interferred with setting the module into the dotcom. The Moog knobs have a half-moon shaft, but the other pots I used are full-round, thus the need for different knobs to fit those kinds of shafts. My biggest mistake was that I should have left the originial Mooger jacks mounted on its' printed circuit board, and should have just tapped wires off to the new jacks on the stooge panel. Getting all those jacks desoldered and removed was a hassle, and I accidentally took a few printed circuit tracings away from the PC board when I desoldered. It's still a little messed up, so I need to get in there and find out where the missed connection is. I used a 4-pot L bracket that I got from Larry Hendry, too. I'd advise using teflon mounting nuts and bolts, something that I didn't do... There's a danger of shorting out parts of the PC board tracings with metal mounting bolts... I'd do several things differently, if I had the chance again. > > >> Also, if anyone's interested, I can also post a photo of my >> solution for making my MOTM modules (I only have four) >> look more "Dotcom"-ish.... > >[raises hand] Yes, please! >-- >john > >.. I'll try and do that soon... - Dana ******** Hi Friends, Please check out my progress on my MOOG CD project and book project at http://www.danacountryman.com I'm also the webmaster for Jean Jacques Perrey: http://www.jeanjacquesperrey.com
