Dotcomformat

This question is for Morbius, or any one who can answer this.
I want to switch my WF on ahd off from triggers to gates.  Do I put the 
switch in between the Q960 and the Q963 before the wire splits in two 
directions.  
Is that it?  Or do I have to put a resistor or someting in line as well.
