Please participate in poll

2004-10-13 by Larry Hendry

I have created a poll to decide whet to do with this group since
Roger has re-opened his forum. Your wishes are all that count. Your
call.

Well, I hope that this group will continue. It's already named
'dotcomformat', which insinuates that third-party and DIY modules are
discussed here.

Both forums are useful/helpful and both should remain.

This could be the Dotcom equivalent of AHOT (DotHot). Whatever
thread is not permitted on the Roger's site will be sent here for
discussion.

Possible DotHot topics might include: Boobies, Corporal Agarn, the
long awaited Marx reissue of Captain Mattox, Wacky Packages latest
series, Crystal Bernard's restraining order against me and does that
mean I need to take her of my wife candidate list?, the Schwinn Apple
Crate's insane vintage prices, converting to radical Islam, and where
to buy cowboy jammies with the built-in feet.

That list looks off topic for any list except.

Alternate source for color patch cables

2004-10-19 by Larry Hendry

About 2 times a year I buy thousands of custom to order cables
directly from 2 large cable manufacturers here in the US. These
cables are soldered and assembled by hand, here in the USA.

I mention this in this forum as an alternative to the bland offering
at Synthesizers.com. My cables are available in up to 10 different
colors in solid color and translucent, and 8 different heat shrink
colors, and any length. Heat shrink can be inside or outside the
barrel on the translucent cables. Ends are not glued so repair is
easily done if needed.

The best part is you get to custom order the exact way you want them
for less that the price of off the shelp prices. You say you want
green cable and purple heat shrink. On your 3 foot cables. OK. You
want 34 cables and every one is different color / heat shrink
combination. No problem.

Here is the information is you are interested:
Synth Tech logo translucent cables:
http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/cable/cable.htm

Wise Guy Synth branded solid color cables:
http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/cable/cable_alt.htm

These solid color cables are available with top quality 3.5 mm plugs
one one or both ends.

Drop me a note if you are interested. I'm crazy doing this and you
get the good price because I am.
